Hi, I'm Ingo Schaefer, a photographer and author based in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, specializing in dance, landscape and people photography. I studied Music and American Studies at Mercator University in Duisburg, Germany, where I focused on the work of Walker Evans and Robert Flaherty and American documentary film. For several years I have worked with various ballet companies and choreographers on the photographic documentation of their creations. My photographic work focuses on the creative work of innovative choreographers and dancers of our time, from classical ballet to contemporary dance. My goal is to capture the expressiveness and elegance of the work of these remarkable artists in the best possible photographic quality.
